Philosophy

The staff at Lake Los Angeles Elementary school believes that the teachers and staff are to provide a program that consist of community base instruction and hands on learning for the moderate to severe students.  

We are obligated to build self esteem, create independent living skills and to prepare our students for an active life within their community. We work in collaboration with the students, teachers, school district, parents, and the community in order to keep and maintain effective communication to provide quality services and implement the appropriate resource for these students.  

 

Mission

The staff at Lake Los Angeles supports the opportunity to help develop the students with special needs to become productive citizens within their community by:

  • Empowering students to achieve success
  • Teach them how to work both independently and as a team player
  • Increase self-esteem
  • Develop skills for independent living and job opportunities
  • Provide a caring environment to promote the best in learning opportunities.

We are to provide information and support to meet the ever changing needs of our students, parents, staff and community. Lake Los Angeles School is a diverse community of life-long learners who show respect, responsibility, and are involved in their school and community.
